her shoes

I am by no means the first person to discover Tom's Shoes- but I never thought I would love them as much as I do. I wore these shoes all over the place, my go to pair in both Charleston and San Francisco. They are a personal favorite when thinking about casual Fridays and weekend wear. I wore them so much, I actually have a bit if a "tom" tan line - a bit embarrassing as it cuts strangely across my foot - thank goodness it's wintery and I can hid the feet in tights and boots for now. I'll have to be more careful in the spring when I get back to wearing these babies with more regularity. I highly recommend everyone pick up a pair, since they are comfortable as heck, but also since your purchase means a child in need also receives a pair of shoes, and trust me that's a great reason to buy any pair of shoes. I know I'll be back for several pairs in the near future.

take these chains

my ladder was a bit shadowy
I absolutely love having colored flats to brighten up outfits- since I do tend to dress a bit drab some times (think black, grey, navy – my staples!). I found this pair at TJ Maxx and I love the details- the studs make this even more fun than just the eye catching color. I was also very excited that these are pointy toed- weird I know, but that’s my favorite shape for flat shoes.
clearly feeling daring at work... not a normal occurrence

she's got legs

Wedges, wedges, wedges... my favorite type of shoe for making me feel like those tall girls.I always want to be taller, but bad feet make heels for the long run hard to do. These nifty little shoes give the height without as much pain, not to say I can wear them all the time - but much longer then a pair of stilettos.  What's your favorite summer time shoe?

step by step - ooh baby

The unofficial start to summer is upon us- thank goodness. One of my favorite things to have for summer shoes is a great pair of nude flats – particular since my office is always freezing, so opened toed shoes mean cold feet all day long.  I love fun flats as you all probably know from many a post, but I really do think having a neutral shoe is ideal. The extra nice thing about these is your legs look a tiny bit longer since you aren’t breaking up the color of your leg with a shoe.

a ship that sails the sea

Summer is on my mind, and during my vacation last week I found these adorable shoes from Wanted while boutique-ing in Newport. I love bold shoes, as you may remember from here, here and here. This striped pair are a fun canvas that remind me of Keds and wearing those until mom threw them away because they could no longer be worn. Hopefully these last more then one summer, but I am looking forward to wearing these babies in the warmer weather.

lay off of my blue suede shoes

Elvis has nothing on me now, at least not in the shoe department. I ended up in H&M the other night, wandering around looking for nothing particular when I spotted these amazing blue shoes. I wish I could wear heels without lots of pain, or be one of those girls I see power walking in sillettos (bless you ladies), but I wouldn't be able to walk after 30 minutes for at least three days. Thank goodness for fun flats like these beauties- I can't wait to pair them with jeans and a white top and some bold jewelry. I am also looking forward to drier sidewalks to really get to wear these shoes all around town.
