happiness list

It’s been a while since I did a post about random happy things going on, so here we go

Enjoying Brett Eldredge’s album on spotify. I saw Brett preform a few weeks ago as a part of a CMA Songwriters feature. If you like country music, you’ll like Brett, if you like looking at pretty boys, you’ll like Brett. It’s a win all around really. If you need a good song, try One Mississippi.

Slightly addicted to the semi-reality series, The Vineyard. I have finally figured out that it reminds me of Laguna Beach, and I love the random drama that the cast creates for themselves. As a Massachusetts girl, I am trying to figure out how they all ended up in the water so much – the ocean is cold in New England. I am hooked I tell you, which means it will probably be cancelled.

Spending a lovely day in London doing a bit of the touristy things I’ve missed out on in the past. I love exploring a new city and trying out my navigational skills on other subways. Trying to figure out how to get back for another visit soon.

The countdown to vacation that I cannot resist, I have a ton to do to get myself out of town, but I am nearly at the bliss levels of being away from responsibilities.

Receiving some of the best photos of Norbs in the past week. He’s so happy it’s almost too hard to believe. I love that little bubby.

Just enjoying being me lately – life’s got its ups and downs and in-betweens, but it’s been quite the ride

More Mindy Love

It’s not a secret that I love Mindy Kaling – I mean this is my second post about her already (see one,) , and probably not the last as I am totally awaiting the next season of “The Mindy Project”.  I am very excited to pick up a copy of Entertainment Weekly in which Mindy is featured. Renew my girl crush immediately please.  I am already figuring out when I should pick up this coveted edition since it hits newsstands on Friday (I love that New York actual has proper newsstands still), I kind of want to wait and enjoy it well relaxing and unwinding on vacation in the coming week. I love that Mindy is so relatable, and well hysterical – I long to be funny like her in my everyday life. I try and fail at humor pretty often – but I guess that’s why I am not in comedy. Normal weeks I countdown to Friday, mainly because Friday is a great start to the weekend – however I am counting down to appease my slight obsession with Mindy.

PS. Mindy if you read this by chance, I am not a scary stalker type – just a fan who’d probably end up being a bumbling idiot around you if I did run into you because I’d be so star-struck (so please, no restraining orders necessary).

Letters to Norby #22

Dear Norby-

Vacation time is almost upon us my little dear! You are about to spend your first (well I mean technically, you were there last year  - just hanging out a little closer to your mom) family vacation to the Cape. We are all super excited to play with you on the beach, especially since your mom keeps sending the most darling photos of you playing in the sand – you happy child you.  It will be so much fun to take you swimming and around town – and to the playgrounds.  I am counting down the minutes until we get to spend some of our famous quality time together.

Hoping it doesn’t rain all week.

Love your favorite auntie

london times

Goodness, it’s August already… where is the summer going? I’ve been working from London this past week, enjoying a bit of a break from the summer heat in good old New York. However, I missing some of the usual creature comforts my fair city offers – like air-conditioned subway travel. The grass is always greener they say. It’s been pretty nice though to be able to walk through new neighborhoods to get to work then my usual routine back home. The first morning,  I was walking through lovely old buildings and then came across this large, gated off building that was very odd looking where it was, my initial thoughts were oh is this a prison, but no it was the American Embassy – I should have known. Anyway hope you are having a lovely week dear readers, I am taking some photos to share with you next week, because it’s not all work but some play this week.
