would you rather?
Have you ever played the game, would you rather? I remember playing this with many teams through out college, it's a great way to figure out how people tick. I even think there may have been cards to prompt the discussions, as I remember one very distinct question. I thought it be fun to think of a few questions and post my answers. If you want to play along, please make sure to leave a comment with your post so I can read your answers.
would you rather, sweat cheese or throw up marbles?
Definitely throw up marbles- I don't throw up that often, but sweat happens a lot. Then I wonder, if you chose sweat cheese - would you eat your cheese?
would you rather, have the ability to be invisible or fly?
Hands down fly. Can you imagine the way you could just end up at the beach for the day? No hassle of the airport any more?
would you rather, watch one movie for the rest of your life, or read one book?
Definitely I'd pick watch one movie and then be able to read all the books. Let me read it all please!
would you rather, wear pajamas everywhere or have to wear business attire everywhere?
Business attire. I love some good pajamas but I hate that we live in a culture of under dressing at every turn. Plus who wants to wear pajamas to a wedding?
would you rather, live at Winterfell or live at Hogworts?
Okay, even for me this is tough - Game of Thrones or Harry Potter? Wouldn't you want both? Though the grown up in me says Winterfell and Jon Snow. Sorry Harry - maybe some other time.

lately
Oh two weeks of vacation is glorious. I’ve been back for a
week, but getting back into the blogsphere this week. I thought I’d do one of those lately posts
before I start the recap of the vacation weeks.
Watching: Friday Night Lights from the beginning. iTunes had
the first three seasons at $10 each, I jumped to be able to watch something
while on vacation that I didn’t have to stream. I am back to swooning over Matt
Saracen and wanting a marriage like Coach and Tami. This show also makes me cry like crazy – it
was so good.
Reading: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I devoured two of her
other books while on vacation, Eleanor and Park, and Attachments. I may have
found a new author to read regularly.
Eating: Lunch from home as much as possible. Oh back to
making lunch, mmm turkey on gluten free whole grain.
Buying: a backpack for commuting. My shoulder that carries
my bag hurts, time to spread the love to hopefully make this better.
Missing: cooler temperatures that felt like fall while in
Belgium. It was magical I tell you, sweaters, jeans, jackets – the only thing
missing was a pumpkin spice latte in my hand.
Listening: Stay with Me by Sam Smith. I could sing that baby
all day long.
Anticipating: my move. Only 3 weeks to go.
Looking forward to: apple picking. I want to eat fresh
apples all fall long.

confessions:five
I leave for Belgium in about a week. The only things I know
I am doing there is staying in hotels- I haven’t planned a single site to see,
a museum to visit, a place to eat. Definitely way under prepared to go.
I do not like Facebook as means of communication –it’s too
impersonal for me. I deleted my full account over a year ago and set up one
that I do very little with, and it works for me. Why even have an account? I’ve had to
coordinate rides for races and things like that with people I only know through
my gym – that’s what made me get a new account.
Currently loving on Luke Bryan – I could listen to that man
every day all day long. He’s also fairly easy on the eyes.
My most popular post ever is “ I hate boats”… perhaps the
title draw people in? I’ve never had a post read over 100 times before this
one.
Almost daily at work, I leave a cup outside the bathroom,
get all the way back to my desk and have to go back for my drink. I don’t think
I’ll ever remember that I got a refill on my water or tea ever.

confessions: four
I try to live by the rule, Book before Movie. I always like
to see how my ideas line up with the movie – would I have made a better movie
then the director?
My savings accounts must be divisible by 5. This means that
I true up my accounts after each monthly interest accrual. It drives me bonkers
otherwise. This is part of loving finance and being a little bit crazy.
Wet shoes make me a cranky pants, but I have ample calves –
rain boots I am trying to find you. Would love to know why boots don’t have
calve circumferences as an option.
Not too long ago, I fell asleep with my contact lenses in,
but didn’t realize it. I then proceeded to put a second pair successfully in my
eyes – and thought my vision was just a bit blurry until 3PM when I thought
maybe I’d just try to shift the contact in my eye – and found two in
there. Note to self, it’s not allergies,
it’s just you being stupid.
I repeat things I know are going to stupid. Like drinking
tea on an empty stomach, always makes me feel ill, yet I know I’ll do it again.

i hate boats
There I said it, I hate boats. I don’t hate all things about boats, I just
really hate social outings on boats. Why you might ask? Well my friends, there’s
no way to exit the boat unless you want a swim. My big point is, you hold
people captive when you put something on a boat, there’s no ebb and flow of
people casually exiting or gracefully showing up a tiny bit late. Boats are an
all or nothing venue, I cannot run late, I cannot leave early – I hate the
boat. The irony here, is when I can leave places a lot of times I don’t want to
go, I’ll stay all night long – but without the option I feel a bit
claustrophobic and trapped.
So, please I ask you – nothing on a boat, if you want me to
commit.

we pause for station updates
Hello Blogland friends. My sincere apologies for my horribly
long break, if you missed me, I appreciate it – if you didn’t well that’s okay
too.
What’s new?
I’ve successfully moved to a new state, but don’t move into
my own place for another 75 days. Where
am I living? Well my friends, I am back in my high school bedroom, complete
with my twin bed (which makes everyone send me this hilarious video from SNL),
prom photos, and my first communion crown. It’s cooler than being cool, it’s ice cold.
I bought a car. For those of you who have lived in the New
York metropolitan area, you probably know that I had absolutely no need to own
a car in the seven years I lived in the area. Those of you who live in the
Boston metropolitan area probably know that not having a car pretty much means
you live near Boston Common, or have no desire to ever do anything on a
weekend. I went car shopping the first weekend I lived here and though it’s
weird, I am happy to have a new to me ride. I also think my parents like to
take my car joy riding – oh how times change.
Officially on the countdown to my two week vacation, which
will be half in Cape Cod, and half in Belgium. Vacation, it’s all I ever wanted…
I’ve started binge watching Royal Pains. Maybe I am
nostalgic for New York again – I mean it’s the Hamptons and always summer. It also makes me want someone to let me stay
in their guest house.
And, hopefully I am back to some semi-regular blog updates. That’s all for now.
